Top 3 Reasons A Dry Brushing Ritual is a Skincare Essential + How To Guide

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DRY BRUSHING?
In just a few years, dry skin brushing went from being the latest beauty trend to a staple in natural skincare routines. The reason? Simple, you can see the results and they are much more than skin deep. Below are the top 3 reasons why dry brushing is essential.

#1 Exfoliates Dead Skin Cells
Dry brushing helps you reveal smoother, softer skin without harsh, or abrasive exfoliants. Soft strokes with a natural plant-bristled body brush help you effectively exfoliate and remove dry, scaly skin. Daily exfoliation through dry brushing helps to rejuvenate skin cells and allows for better absorption of moisture. This allows for nutrients from your daily moisturizer like our MEND Healing Balm to deeply penetrate and heal the skin.

#2. Stimulates & Improves Circulation
The massage of dry brushing is said to help boost circulation and stimulate your lymphatic systems-the vessels beneath your skin that help the body detoxify. Even though our skin is our body's largest organ, it's the last to receive nutrients from the body and dry brushing provides a much need boost of blood flow to ensure nourished & radiant skin. Plus the boost in circulation can also result in improving energy levels. By adding dry brushing to your daily skincare ritual, you not only get the results of smooth radiant skin, but also an invigorating boost of energy helping you feel even more renewed after your self-care ritual.

#3. Improves Skin texture-Reducing the appearance of cellulite
While I believe it's important that we embrace our soft bits because nothing will get rid of cellulite entirely, it's also important to note that regular massage and exfoliation from dry brushing tones and smooths skin thereby reducing the appearance of cellulite. Dry brushing is said to help break up small fat deposits and redistribute them throughout the body thereby reducing the appearance of cellulite. With just 5 minutes a day, you can reduce the appearance of imperfections and remove toxins from the body.

Caring for your Dry Brush
Your Being Dry Skin Brush should be cleaned weekly and replaced every 3 months. To clean fill a shallow bowl with water and 3-4 drops of tea tree essential oil. Place your brush downward facing in the bowl bristle only and move around for 1 minute. Remove brush and refill the bowl with fresh water and repeat the same step then remove and shake excess water out. Sit face down on a clean towel to air dry.
