Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and with such supportive, vibrant, loving mothers in our lives on the BEING team, we’ve been thinking a lot about mothers and what they teach us about the art of mothering.
Mothering doesn’t just occur between mother and child when she gives birth or adopts. While that is the place that mothering begins, it is by no means the place where mothering ends. It is from our mothers that we can learn how to love wholeheartedly and practice loving unconditionally; they serve as role models for how to care for others with open hearts. A mother’s love has the capacity to stay with us throughout the rest of our lives in a myriad relationships.
At BEING, we recognize and honor the mothering we have received in our lives not only from our biological or adoptive mothers, but from our grandmothers, our aunts, our close friends, the people who may have come into our lives only for a brief period of time but who left an imprint on our hearts, the beings who encouraged us to open our hearts a little bit wider to give and receive love more fully. Mother’s Day is an opportunity for us to celebrate our mothers and all those who have mothered us - where the mothering and unconditional love began - and all those who we have mothered in the wake of learning from our mothers what it means to fiercely love another human being.
BEING is celebrating mothers and the gift of mothering that they give to the world by having a 20% off + free shipping sale on our floral-infused products. In honor of International Women’s Day - and Women’s History Month - we want to celebrate bold, courageous women who have used the transformative power of love that lives inside of them to change the world, those who will always serve as role models and inspirations to women of all generations, ethnicities, backgrounds, and life paths.
