There’s nothing quite like sipping on your favorite beverage while relaxing and unwinding at the end of a long day in a hot bath. Dominican priest and saint Thomas Aquinas once said, “sorrow can be alleviated by good sleep, a bath and a glass of wine.” We couldn’t agree more, which is why we reached out to our friends Joni and Jennelle of Mint and Mirth, the world’s best traveling bartenders, to do a bath time+cocktail collaboration during our BEING Bath Month.
Mint and Mirth is an event production and craft cocktail catering company based in Portland, Oregon. They travel all over the West Coast and beyond, helping brands and engaged couples throw the world's best parties. These ladies thrive off of creating craft cocktails and unique experiences that can put you in a state of dropping into the present and fully enjoying the moment you’re in - that’s our kinda cocktail party.
We paired three of our most beloved bath ritual products with three different cocktails crafted by these super-creative lady-bosses to inspire you to think outside the box and try something new and fresh for your bathtime ritual.
The first bath-and-cocktail pairing is our Float Salt Bath with Afternoon in Eden:
Afternoon in Eden
2 oz silver tequila
3/4 oz lime juice
1/2 oz BG Reynold's Vanilla Syrup
1/4 oz Haint Absinthe by Dogwood Distilling
2-3 sprigs of fresh mint for garnish
Muddle mint and vanilla syrup, then add tequila and lime. Shake well over ice, then pour into a chilled glass. Float absinthe on top and garnish with a small bouquet of fresh mint.

There are numerous skin care products on the market for various skin types, and for every budget. It can be a worthy investment for some but can be a bit pricey for others.
So, what if there was an alternative? Of course there is. The use of natural products or everyday foods you probably already have in your kitchen can be added to your daily skin care routine for better health. For instance, did you know lavender helps soothe occasional skin irritations, and it is also known for its calming and relaxing qualities? Let's look into a few others.
